IN MEMORY OF OUR DAD

May 11, 2005

dad on a mountain1938

We knew on that distant morning,

God was preparing to call your name.

In life we had loved you dearly,

In death we still love you the same.

It broke our aching hearts to lose you,

But you did not travel the way alone;

For a part of us went with you,

On that day God called you home.

Our family chain now is broken;

Our lives will never be the same,

But as God calls us one by one,

The chain will be linked again.

We miss you, Dad.
